# Pricing

SKTH supports auctions and fixed-price Galleries. Each house publishes its own current fees on its own pricing page; the figures shown there come from that house’s live settings.

This is the SKTH platform. Every auction house lives under `/t/{house}`.

## Auctions

The hammer is the winning bid. The buyer’s premium is added to the hammer and funds the house and SKTH. A house’s page shows its current buyer’s premium, seller commission, tax treatment and any published sale or lot exceptions.

Unless a house sets its own rate, the platform buyer’s premium default is **5%** of the hammer.

The auction platform share is a share of the buyer’s premium, not a percentage of the hammer. It is separate from the Gallery fee below.

Rates freeze at the hammer. A later settings change applies to later commitments and never reprices an existing result.

## Galleries

A Gallery item is a fixed-price purchase, not an auction: there is no bid and no hammer. The seller’s price is what the seller receives.

SKTH adds a **5%** Gallery fee to the seller’s price. That fee covers transaction fees and platform maintenance. A house may add its own Gallery fee, and may apply Jersey GST at 5% to that house fee only when its tax setting is enabled.

### Simple Gallery example

On a £100.00 seller price with no house fee, SKTH’s fee is £5.00, the buyer pays **£105.00**, and the seller receives **£100.00**.

The item page shows the full total before purchase. A completed purchase keeps the amounts that were confirmed.
